Stella's Success Story

Stella Calist Mosha a 23 years old and a last born out of six children in her family. Raised by a single mother due to her father’s alcoholism. Her mother died in 2016 due to lung cancer.
Stella has a strong track record of leadership and service. She participated in Asante Africa Leadership and Entrepreneurship Incubator Summit in Narok Kenya in 2019. The Summit equipped her with excellent leadership skills that helped her during her leadership journey. She got a Fully Funded High School Scholarship from Unite the World with Africa Foundation in 2020 that marked the beginning of a significant life journey in her life.
Being a Unite Scholar she thrived in many ways. She served as a school counselor at Mtwara Girls Secondary School (2020-2021)supported young girls in navigating personal and academic challenges, fostering resilience and self-confidence, and as a leader in the Unite Scholars program (2020-2022) under Unite the World with Africa Foundation, ensuring the timely submission of reports and providing mentorship to her peers. After completing Advanced Level Education in Machame Girl’s High School she interned as an assistant Stockist in Unite Food Program Headquarters in Dar es Salaam. During her long holiday day break in August to October 2023 she interned at Marangu School of Tourism and Vocational training as a communication Teacher.
As a mental advocate, In May 2023 she assisted as a facilitator in Unite Mental Health Workshop where she taught the importance of self esteem and effective communication as well as how to cope with stress to Kibaha Boys Unite Club and Unite Food Program Staffs. In September 2024, She participated in a Monduli Medical Outreach that was coordinated by Tanzania Better Health Organization where as a counselor she educated children and adults on the relationship between health risks behaviors and non communicable diseases and the importance of seeking counseling, it impacted over 1,000 people.
In her environmental advocacy, Stella participated in tree-planting initiatives with My Birthday Tree Organization, contributing to reforestation efforts around SUA Mazimbu Campus and Kunduchi Primary School for her final project with the KISA Club while in Machame Girl’s High School also focused on environmental conservation.
In September to November 2024 Served as Youth Ambassador for Girls in STEM at UNIAID AFRICA fueled her dedication in empowering Girls to pursue STEM related subjects. And currently she is a program Campus Lead for UNIAID AFRICA in Jordan University College empowering Girls in STEM at her University. She is also currently a trainee at Aspire leadership program.
She is currently a Unite University Scholar, her journey proves passion as an advocate for mental health awareness, community development, and environmental sustainability. She is a third-year Bachelor of Science student in Psychology and Counseling at Jordan University College, Morogoro, Tanzania, graduating in November 2025
